Jessie

UKC CH Kimkar's Jesse's Girl

01/15/2004-01/20/2015

AKC#  WS07190103 UKC#  P547-526

Sire: CH Kimkar's Hi-Tech Travelor

Dam:  Shadofax's Kimkars New Business

Bernard and I were given Jessie by her breeder because she believed we would be able to train her to become a conformation dog. Jessie was structurally ideal in accordance with the boxer standard but she was on the shy side, not able to exhibit her confidence in the conformation ring. We spent hours upon hours working with her to improve her self-confidence but were only able to make minimal gains. She was able to earn 2 AKC points and a UKC Show Champion title.  This was a tremendous accomplishment and we were extremely proud of her!!!

Jessie was a wonderful dog to live with. She got along famously with the other boxers in our home. She did have a lovely litter of 5 pups and was an absolutely magnificent mother.

Towards the end of her life Jessie dealt with DM, Degenerative Myelopathy, a progressive disease of the spinal cord in older dogs. After her diagnosis, Jessie went to physio exercise sessions three times a week with Mary Erschen and received once a month magna wave/acupuncture treatments with Dr. Christine Woodford. Jessie was a very strong willed boxer who never lost her mobility nor zest for life.
