The Trainer:
Bernard Atkins will be teaching conformation classes for canines of all breeds. The classes will be held at:
FidoFit, 595 Huff St., Suite C, Dubuque, Iowa 52003.
Bernard has handled and shown dogs for 23 years. He has shown in both AKC and UKC venues. His specialty is the Boxer breed but is familiar with many other breeds. Some of his accomplishments include:
winning multiple Best of Breed and Best in Show awards
earning multiple Champion titles
judging non-sanctioned dog show competitions.
Bernard is looking forward to teaching conformation skills with these classes.
Class Content:
The training classes are designed to help novice handlers learn how to present their breed to the judge and seasoned handlers to keep their breed(s) sharp between shows. The training classes will include instruction in and practice of handling, stacking, gaiting, free stack/baiting and show lead placement. Both group lessons and private sessions will be available.
No aggressive dogs will be allowed in this conformation training program. All dogs must have current shots and be on-lead.
