The Trainer:
Because there no places in our area to learn about dog show conformation, Bernard Atkins has decided to share his skills by offering conformation classes for canines of all breeds. His classes will be held at:
FidoFit, 595 Huff St., Suite C, Dubuque, Iowa 52003.
Bernard has handled and shown dogs for 23 years. He has shown in both AKC and UKC venues. His specialty is the Boxer breed but is familiar with many other breeds. Some of his accomplishments include Best of Breed and Best in Show awards and Champion and Grand Champion titles.
Bernard is looking forward to sharing his conformation skills.
Class Content:
His training classes are designed to help novice handlers learn how to present their breed to the judge and seasoned handlers to keep their breed(s) sharp between shows. The training classes will include instruction in and practice of handling, stacking, gaiting, free stack/baiting and show lead placement.
No aggressive dogs will be allowed in this conformation training program. All dogs must have current shots and be on-lead.
