Our dear friend, Rose Northcutt, bred our boxer girl, Shira’s Dancin in the Moonlight of Thunderbay, Lizzy, to her homebred family boxers, Brass and Kate. Sadly, both of them passed away in 2021 but their spirits live on within Lizzy.

Brass and Kate were typical boxer dogs, playful and fun loving. Any object could become a toy not withstanding plastic bottles, sticks or any kind of ball. Kate was a stunning brindle bitch with a heart shaped marking on her chest, symbolizing her sweet personality. Everyone loved her and she responded to them in kind. Brass was quite handsome. He was very friendly with anybody no matter if they paid attention to him or not. He particularly enjoyed playing with Tommie and Ronnie, Rose’s grandsons for whom she babysat.
Rose spent many hours bringing Brass & Kate to various training classes and, of course, many, many Conformation and Performance competitions.
Kate performed beautifully in conformation no matter who showed her. Brass also was a natural in the show ring. However, he could also be a ‘goof-ball’ especially in the performance ring, providing comic relief to spectators.
Brass was an amazing athlete earning titles in AKC & UKC. After earning his AKC Championship, he began his performance career. And was he ever successful!!! He earned multiple titles in both Rally and Obedience.
Kate was also quite a star in both AKC & UKC. She earned 17 points with four majors to earn her AKC Championship. What a fabulous accomplishment!! Further she earned her UKC Show Champion title before she was 1 ½ years old. Bravo!!!
